Complimentary Consultation

We always recommend meeting and getting to know the Designer you will be working with. Ask yourself some questions during the meeting; “Does this designer actively listen to me? Do I trust them? Does working with this designer simply feel right and make sense?”. And if so, “What is the logical next step?”

During the Complimentary consultation we will take about an hour to review photos of your space and inspiration photos you have collected. We will discuss more deeply what is and what isn’t working now. We ask a variety of questions to help us understand your situation better. We want to design for your needs and not just your wants. We will browse your inspiration images together to better understand what it is that attracts you to them.

We ask a lot of detailed questions. Some questions may feel a little personal. “Do you and your partner shower together?” “How often do you lose items in the back of your refrigerator only to find they’ve turned into a science experiment months later?” We will also discuss possible project timing, how much your investment might cost, and how the design process works. We will reference a recent project that is similar to yours to help illustrate what we can anticipate.

When we’re done, you can decide if you want to dip your toe into the water to try a little preliminary design called Schematic Design.

The goal of the Complimentary consultation is for us to decide if we are a good match for each other. If we agree that we are, we can finish by filling out a small letter of agreement for Schematic Design. We’ll set an appointment for a member of our team to come into your home and for your Designer to review the proposed remodel options when they are complete.

With the onset of COVID-19 and shelter-in-place restrictions, we have modified our in-person meetings to zoom calls. We will host our zoom call and include password protection for added security.
