A bathroom should fit you, bring in daylight whenever possible, and provide privacy. In a single bathroom home it is not necessary to keep a bathtub if your family only takes showers. Most families, including children, shower more often than bathe, so resale value is not really affected. Windows along shower walls are a great place for mold and mildew to grow. Choosing skylights is often a better option as they can bring in fresh air, provide more privacy and a view of the naturally-lit sky.
