We Unwrap Everything and Check for Damage and Accuracy

Upon approving your selections, your Designer processes all materials orders through Design Set Match within one business week of authorization and receipt of the material deposits. Design Set Match maintains a current business for the city of Berkeley and resale license for the state of California and has many manufacturer’s dealer accounts to provide our clients their kitchen and bathroom materials directly. In order to keep our markup at a minimum, we have time in our agreements to process, coordinate, receive, deliver, open and inspect orders placed on behalf of our clients.

In our experience contractors and their trades do not often order everything in a timely manner or open the boxes as soon as they arrive. It is expected that some materials will come damaged or be shipped incorrectly. We check everything as soon as it arrives, we are able to limit the possible delay these occurrences might cause. If something is incorrect or damaged, our team will alert the manufacturer immediately and place appropriate reorders. Without materials coordination, plumbers and electricians are often opening a box for the first time as they’re about to install the item, leaving the completion timing of your project unknown. The goal is for all of the finish materials to be on site and ready at least one week before construction is scheduled to start.

With the onset of COVID-19 and shelter-in-place restrictions we have modified how we work in the Materials Coordination process. Design Set Match will receive your materials on your behalf and store them with a local professional storage and delivery company or have them delivered directly to your garage where we can safely inspect large items while maintaining required distances. For smaller items that can easily be carried by a single member of our team, we are accepting packages, opening them to check for accuracy and damage, and storing them in our office space. We immediately work with our suppliers to correct any concerns until construction restrictions have been revised to allow us to deliver these to your home. Our team continues to wear masks and gloves during the process of receiving items for your home.
